I wonder, rather, whether rejecting vaccine and demanding bleach, chloroquine, or ivermectin makes proponents feel as if they have traction, and leverage, and power.
I think you’re both on to something. I once got stuck with the unenviable duty of fire drill captain at my workplace. While a number of folks would grumble or jokingly complain there was always a few, otherwise reasonable people, that would get unhinged by the whole exercise and refuse to evacuate during a drill. For them it was some kind of red line. It was bizarre.
Many of the unvaccinated who claim they have been waiting for full approval of the vaccine and who wind up in the hospital with Covid end up having their life saved by monoclonal antibodies. Monoclonal antibodies only have Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the CDC. Do you think these fools know? Do you think they even asked?
It really makes me want hospitals to say, no vaccine, no service. Endangering vaccinated people by using supplies and space that is needed by those intelligent and caring. It angers me that friends and family might not receive help if hospitals are too full.
Oh, that's just the hardest thing imaginable. I am sorry, and sorry that this must be so very confusing for your mom. I have a hard time understanding how someone who works around a vulnerable population would NOT get vaccinated.

:(
Maybe. It strikes me as a childish tantrum where, as they risk themselves and others, they mew “You’re not the boss of me!”
Oh, absolutely. The best you can say about it is that it's sad and shabby, as well as suicidal and homicidal.

"I'm wiling to risk my life on the principle that no one can tell me nothing." Yeah. I get that.
Quaff. Such an awesome word. Your literacy is showing. 😎 Glad you dodged the COVID bullet and hubby is recovering.

I don't think they ask, no. I think at that point, when they're gasping for air, they'll take anything.

It’s infuriating that these people can rely on doctors to live up to their oath while they care so little for themselves and others.
