Maybe folks could give blood that day. And, I would love to find a pin, or button, or brooch of Themis, to wear every single day from now on. I shall begin the search.

I do, how much and tell me where to send a check - I don't do those digital wallet apps.

Good. I don't either. When it arrives, I'll reach out for your address. They were less than $3, which I happen to have, so take that large amount and donate it to anything that brings down Trump's regime.

I will order 10, also, and then we can both distribute ...

Great minds! It's hard to find Themis raising her sword and not the scales.

What a brilliant idea.

Mnemosyne would be another good choice.

And Athena perhaps the most accessible and the most appropriate at once.

Now that we are in our SC townhouse where we came to avoid winter, there is NO avoidance, and the beautiful Huntington State Park is only 7 miles away we will walk there. The sound of waves crashing on the beach, the variety of water foul, and the serenity will occupy our time.

I will be at work. While getting ready, however much it's going to kill me, it won't be the news and it will be the same in the evening. (Old habits die hard) While the TV's at home will be off, the channels will be set to something like the Science channel (in the event they track what channels the cable boxes are on even with TV's off). Right now we watch the national news for the LA fire coverage, and then change the channel when they start talking about the mango.

I’ll be carrying on as usual, though I’ll be doing it in Malaga.

So far as I know Margaret Killjoy originated this.

I like it: I think it aims one in the right direction.

For anyone in Western MA, come join me!! I'll be spending January 20th at Bombyx, for their at MLK Service day, where you can learn about volunteer opportunities with social service and social justice organizations. I will be wearing my Kamala t-shirt and finding a place to contribute my time during the nightmare that's coming. https://bombyx.live/events/mlk-day-service-fair/

On that day, I will do the following: start the day with yoga, go to a new diner (for me) for lunch, walk a labyrinth (since Covid I have been walking them in CT and RI), go in my hot tub, mark off the first day of the atrocity on my sigil poster made for this purpose. At least, this is my ideal plan. We shall see how it works out.

News blackout. I have streaming TV so can watch coverage of the fires in LA by picking up their ABC news station in LA that does just coverage of the fires. That will be my news for the day. Evening -- watching the College Football National Championship game. Can't believe Orange Beast hasn't requested the game to be moved to another date so that he'll get all of the TV coverage devoted to him that day.

It's incredibly sad that the Beast will be inaugurated on MLK Day.

Now that I moved to Middletown, I haven't really engaged in the community. I spent the last 19 years in Hartford volunteering my heart out. I think I will take the day for self care. Yes, great idea to be off social media, newspapers, and streaming media. I will think about where and how I can meditate. If the weather is good, I'll go to Rocky Neck for a walk. I really appreciate the prompt. Love and Peace to all.

The only definite plan I have for that day is to NOT watch a single, solitary second of the debacle about to take place. A walk in the woods, getting cozy with a good book, writing about things that bring me joy are all possibilities. Oh, yes.... and trying to avoid the toxic fumes that will be floating up from D.C.

Inviting anyone to register below and show up for this New Britain Public Library presentation. Saturday Jan25th at 11am.

Veterans say: MLK's "Dream Speech" Not  the Only One  We  Need to Hear.

Plans for a more peaceful world calls on informed citizens. Veterans for Peace members believe MLK's, "Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence", should also be taught in schools. Issues, values and the morals expressed in this speech need to be discussed to teach our kids and influence our countries peaceful  relationship with a changing world.

I'd like to add a P.S. to mine... just like the day after the election, I will be dressed in black... everything, including undergarments and jewelry, will be black. The only non-black item will be the face of my watch and my rings.

I haven’t thought that far ahead, honestly. All I know for sure is that MSM will be a thing of the past. The tv won’t be on for that travesty on the 20th and I’m going to try to take the dog for more walks. We have a brand new library in town and I do plan to visit soon. Lots of reading material to keep me busy. 6 1/2 days of sanity left. Swords up! ⚔️🗽

The day no doubt will be filled with things. Though I don't know with what yet. This is how things have been lately.

On a national level, it will be a sad day for our country for sure.

I'm planning to make progress on much that I need accomplish for my town's library system. Included will be drafting some messages to my legislators about codifying protections of aspects of the library (e.g., 1st Amendment, civil rights). Attended a webinar today with John Chrastka of Every Library: the need to generalize library protections so all functions are protected, change from affirmative rights to freedom; to positive protection, not just corrective. This resonated, even here in CT. Following that work with a walk up our road appreciating the calm beauty - and reminding myself that it, like libraries and so much we take for granted, is fragile and has to be guarded. Swords all the way up.
