I watched snippets of the 118th debate “rules” changes proposed by Speaker McTrump and his Insurrectionist Party. Progress is no more as democracy is waning. Why is Bolsonaro here, in Red Florida no less?!?

He’s in the welcoming arms of his buddies, Trump and DeSantis.

Ugh ugh ugh! I’m thinking the mold and mildew growth down here affects folks sense of -- what -- decency, morality, empathy hiding these sorts of creeps. Ugh, yet--hi ho ⚔️

I know good people in Florida (present company included). But might one issue be the strong and well-fed political machine on one side and political apathy on the other? I also found the following interesting: https://gerrymander.princeton.edu/reforms/FL

Of course, as do I. Forty years living here actively involved. Indeed, I have known and know many people from all backgrounds etc eligible for goodness labels of many sorts. Maybe had I clearly indicated the specific names: Scott, DeSatin, Trump et al? I agree with you about the apathy part. I wonder why the Democrats here are not well-fed? Perhaps John Morgan switching from Democratic to Independent? I’m not really sure. Now, living in Connecticut, I sense keenly the contrast of living in a decidedly red state v blue ones. Having grands here keeps me rooted here; it is not the same state where I educated and raised up my kids. So I still say, “ugh” and hold my breath when down here, although the weather is fine this time of year! I so look forward to a Connecticut hard freeze before the crocuses come back!

I'm not correcting you, I promise. But I come from Missouri, a tragically flawed red state and I'm keenly aware that not everyone sends money to the state's Lanky Fascist, Josh Hawley. Some of the state's residents are actively working to unseat him, and I appreciate them very much.

No worries! I don’t mind standing corrected at all. Remember, I from Missouri too, and New Mexico, a purple state! I tend towards generalizations way too much, a trend I fight everyday! I’m new at this stuff, I.e., political savvy, or whatever it is I think is savvy, lol!

This is so discouraging. Bolsonaro must have conferred with that traitor at Mar A Largo.
