Just another reason why I give directly to candidate’s campaigns and not the DNC. I’m not a fan of Hutchinson but his withdrawal represented a chance to speak to the narrow slice of the right leaning, anti-Trump electorate and DNC blew it.
Agree, 100%. Humility and grace used to mean something to Americans. Here’s hoping that come election night, a majority of Americans will demonstrate that humility and grace do indeed still matter.
That's the hope, isn't it? I was really happy to hear someone had apologized for this unnecessarily snotty comment. I wish the commenter, herself, had done that, but oh well. Now ask me how I'd feel if this was directed at, say TFG. So my humanity and grace has its very real limits.
I keep forgetting that I actually prefer to be held to a higher standard. Believe me, I've spent much of my time on social media these last nine years being an asshole, and I am only recently starting to reexamine that.
I am reminded of the profound words of Michele Obama, "when they go low, we go high"! This "spokesperson" should be sh*tcanned, full stop!
To be honest, I was surprised that she wasn't.
I, too, would love to see an end to Tournament of Gotchas.
Unfortunately acknowledging fault, let alone apologizing, has become a pretext for Gotcha Cascade.
But the only way to end the tournament is to keep behaving well-- and narrate why more explicitly and more often.
Yes. As tough as it is, this is the way.

Yep. Entirely. And I agree about the donations. I alternate between feeling the DNC is ineffective and the DNC is ineffective. So yeah.

Thank you for not being someone who attributes all that they despise to the malice of others.
Plenty is also attributable to ignorance. And then there's also the rare instance of heartfelt, well-reasoned disagreement.
I love to be held to a higher standard. Hopefully, it was earned.

Indeed.
Please remind what TFG stands for. Thanks!
