This from the man who's defense against multiple rape accusations (including statutory, which should be no surprise to see some of his loving comments about and photos with Ivanka) has always been "If I was going to rape someone they wouldn't look like her." Keepin' it classy.
Now that we know who the False Prophet is, who do you s'pose is the Antichrist? My gelt's on Mitch for the win...
I'm about 2/3 of the way through Andy Slavitt's Preventable. It is one of the saddest books I've ever read. Largely because we're still bloody-mindedly fueling COVID permanence. And now I have the Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker, and Michael Wolff on hold at the library. Time for a bath in horrified yuck.
In looking for and putting holds on the new Leonnig and Rucker, and the new Michael Wolff, I learned of Wolff's Siege, which I'd somehow missed earlier. He's certainly a gossip columnist rather than a reporter, but I enjoyed Fire and Fury for what it was. I'm enjoying Siege so far.
Reading as many Trump administration books as I have-- uncharacteristically for me-- I learned one of the more horrifying things I now know. That it is a Republican commonplace to believe that *everyone* thinks that Republicans are The Moral Ones and The Fiscally Sane Ones. (And I guess that Dems are just immoral and deranged out of perversity.) I was initially startled, but then realized how consistent it was with GOP speech and behavior. Whenever I think about it I'm frightened.

PREcisely.
“I did a coup” is what Donnie says to Melania when he needs his Depends changed.

You’re a bit peculiar but ok.

I have been reading every single Trump book but haven’t read that one yet.

It's not really a Trump book, but a timeline of effort and negligence and biology. I do recommend it.
On it.
