If I lived in WY -- I can't imagine what circumstances would lead to that, but if I did -- I'd register as R to vote for her today.

Wyoming allows that. I looked it up. But, as someone posted from the WY SOS office:

Republican: 207,674

Democratic: 39,753

Unaffiliated: 33,769

I actually donated to her campaign. If I lived there I would switch parties just to vote for her in the primary.

If she runs for president as an independent, she could be the deal breaker for Biden. Think about that. Similar to Ralph Nader taking 90,000 votes in Florida and, well, you know where that went.

But she’s have to have the Republican leadership behind her to garner many votes. I could see her siphoning off moderate Rs’ votes but how many of those are left?

My guess is if she runs, she runs for the republican nomination as a spoiler. She wouldn’t necessarily have to beat Trump to to damage him. She should be able to raise enough money to run a viable campaign and maybe sucker Trump into a debate. I believe her when she says her priority is to stop Trump and save her party. I’m guessing that includes living with a the democratic victory if necessary. I doubt she would do anything that would increase the likelihood that Trump wins the general. Unless she’s got me completely fooled, I think her motives are based on honor, not ego.

That’s my take on it, cautiously.

If she primaries Trump, then DeSantis gets in. And he portends trouble and a better chance winning against Biden. I would rather Trump be the nominee hands down (and middle finger up).

100% right on. That’s what I imagine her strategy would be. And a good one too!

Wyoming has also been big big big into Cheneys. But Dick is old, and Liz is a woman.

I would love to see her take on DeSantis and Trump in the primaries. And then, if she pulled off a miracle and became the GOP candidate I would be relieved to be able to go back to despising her and working to get people to oppose her.
