My Fourth of July flag is dutifully upside down as l do not support or agree with what is happening to our Democracy- we have the right to participate in governance.
Though the GOP and MAGA have every reason for confidence in the American people. Why, we’ve even been convinced to think of ourselves as consumers much more than producers.
Going to a reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Unitarian Church, followed by a panel discussion on democracy with Peter Baker, and Susan Glasser. I’m reading Ocean Vuong’s The Emperor of Gladness— and I highly recommend it. Today we rest, tomorrow we resume the fight. Swords Up.
You gave me a thought. Shouldn't we not invest responsibly also?

I appreciate that. This is a sad Fourth.
Respect.

Good point. I just keep circling the idea that if we are a capitalistic company, we should be using that status.
I keep howling for longer-time planning horizons, which would in themselves militate against a lot of this wicked stupidity. :(
Wouldn't it? Why do you think we have the collective attention span of a gnat?

Seeing a glimpse of the red-hat haters rallying around their cult leader is nauseating. I have little to no pride left for the country of my birth!
I’m lucky in not being able to see it from Scotland, wicked in not being around to do my full duty combatting it.
What the hell are they doing?
Europe, Canada, Mexico et al should close their borders to Americans....and stop buying our products....we are NOT an exceptional nation!

The Unitarian Church may become our new house of worship since Coyne removed our beloved priest and holds him under "house arrest!"
The "kill bill" has generated the SSA to send an email to recipients praising its passage. God damn Trumperica!
I received that nonsense this morning as well. Nauseating.
Find peaceful and calm things to do today. Cook, read, walk in nature, pet your animals. Restore.
