Another story illustrating that we truly live in “The Twilight Zone.” I am tired about reading and listening to ‘the rule of law.’ If any of us commoners were in such a situation we’d be wearing a striped jumpsuit with a number on it!?!
Oh, yeah. The justice department applies its rules unevenly -- or so it appears. I wish I could be around for the history books to tell us all precisely what went on with all this.
How careful we re to investigate every conceivable scruple of the well-heeled, while police get to be frightened of motives they discern before they even cast eyes on a Black man.
I am so with you on this one Susan. It is in the top 10 of my wish list. So I say, go Bragg and team !!! Make my day. No I think that would make my century.
Following the cases of the golfing grifters rioting insurrectioners I know that depending on who the judge is makes a difference on the sentence that is imposed
While the sentences given by judges appointed by Donnie one term have been lame Obama appointed judges haven’t seemed to concerned about the seriousness of the crimes committed by many of the goofballs that they sentence
Although all of the judges say a lot of the same things about how January 6 2021 was a dark day for our democracy the judges that back those words up with appropriate sentences have been Reaganand Clinton and Bush appointed judges
It makes me wonder if because prosecutors know that a certain judge will preside over the case maybe they are dragging their feet in order for another judge to hear it
This is fascinating. I haven't been keeping up with what various judges have been doing. What makes the news is mostly the tougher sentences, which I approve.

Yeah, it's like long slow performance art of Rich People Don't Get Held to the Same Standards or Many At All. (I prefer this slow art work, honestly: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/As_Slow_as_Possible#:~:text=Organ%202%20%2FASLSP%20%28As%20Slow%20as%20Possible%29%20is,piano%20version%20lasts%2020%20to%2070%20minutes.%20%5B1%5D .)

If we ever need another example of that, we can always look to TFG. It's maddening. And wrong.
How weird. It turned out that today's Stuff You Should Know short stuff podcast was about precisely this work of art.

Gina Bonanno-Lemos has been covering each of the cases and often gives updates that I haven’t seen anywhere else

Oh, excellent. Thank you.
Ditto. TFG in orange is my motto.
It's a pretty good battle cry.
