In my college days I took a science course, Introduction to Ecology. The professor, Dr. Cunningham taught us that the world's supply of oil was going to run out in 20 years. That was WAY back in the early 70's and it has always stuck with me. So here we are 50 years later still pumping away, depleting the ozone, etc. I relate this story only to show that information as taught back then can change for many reasons. We have adequate supplies of oil, maybe due to environmental controls on vehicles, etc. Those of us who read and follow Susan's Substack know Project 2025 disputed climate change and once MAGA took over our government many scientific and climate related agencies were decimated. MAGA has NO regard for our environment and we are all paying the cost!

That? Was a lesson with impact.

I can't do it. I can't comment about the travesty of the impact of THE DONALD on the entire world. I do want to say that he will die soon. Soon enough? NO. But when I ponder the aftermath of his death, I keep thinking about "The Death of Stalin (2017)". It is a satire, but hey, that fits with today's environment. If you haven't seen it, here is the link via Youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txRYVUvLDjY Why can't I. Because I live with Sustainability Guru. My husband worked for the United Nations on, yes, sustainability. I live it every day.

Please thank your husband.

And that is an awesome movie. Satire, yes, but applicable.

Truth should need no imprimatur. Insofar as it does, we little ones can give it.

Problem is, scientists and their time and tools need funding. We little ones need to compel our governments to fund it, because they have the ability to tap plutocratic pockets.

Many governments currently lack the public interest. That, we can instil into them anew.

Susan Campbell's avatar

Exactly. They need funds. They cannot support this on their own.

Don't encourage him. He is retired. And living it every day is a chore. The level of detail he goes into is painful.

Ok. Just pat his arm and tell him it’s from someone anonymous.
