But to the point, regardless of what they sign, Hawley, Cruz, Graham, and the rest of the Trump supporters won't be impartial because it doesn't serve their selfish interests and there are no real consequences if they just do what they want. Signing the oath means nothing to them. If only God could step in and give them a good talking to. That, or slap them.

The link I added at the bottom of this post is another interpretation, that he didn't actually sacrifice his daughter, just that he "fulfilled his oath," which might mean he stuck his daughter in something akin to today's nunnery. I don't actually know, but Jaysus, how harsh is THAT?

When you walk around with a 5-year old's sense of justice, life can be pretty difficult these days. These people are egregious. And thank you.
