I want to believe that with so many defendants on the hook for a minimum five years based on the RICO charges that more and more of them will flip. Meadows and Giuliani (and their lawyers) must know this which makes it hard to understand why they’re throwing Hail Marys. The more others flip, the more what Giuliani and Meadows have to offer loses value. People’s loyalty to Trump is kind of mystifying given his history of disloyalty to those around him. Cultism remains the only answer as far as I can tell.

I wonder if Meadows et al are throwing Hail Marys on the off-chance that those can work. I mean, if I was drowning, I'd grab at anything. Eventually, however, they're going to run out of rope. And I don't get the loyalty -- at all.

The “production” by FOX is not getting much attention but CT’s own P.T. Barnum’s 3-ring circus could never compete with Murdoch’s 8-ring circus. The moderators were as pathetic as the “stars” of the show where 6 of the 8 raised their hands in a pledge to support their cult leader, to hell with our constitution! For me the best moment was when I fumbled to find the remote and power down this debacle that so many are calling a debate!

I hung with it as long as I could but puh-leez. It was the same song, different dancers. Down with Hunter Biden. Down with Dr. Fauci.

Catering to their Cult. Been so long since we've heard simple truth from that lot. Feels like John McCain was the last one with enough character to repudiate the lies.

That shuffling video was better than Rudy’s mug shot! And let’s shake hands when we arrive at the jail! Lol!

Great column today! Of course blame the boss, it always works! 😂 And try using a case from 1880 as well.

These are happy days!

But who smiles in their mug shot!

In the case of Jenna Ellis, someone who then turns around and posts it on Twitter, with a Bible verse.

While not an attorney -- far from it, he holds an Associates degree -- Meadows had been a member of Congress and knew or should have know that what they were doing was illegal. But like all the other defendants who are/were attorneys, he thought the coup would be successful and then they wouldn't have to deal with any consequences.

Right. To the victor goes the spoils. Bite me, Mark Meadows.

I wish I were seeing any coverage of the debate that mentions, let alone discussing, the choice of the candidates to simply finesse and blow past the "so what about climate change huh?" question. (Unless you count M. Ramaswamy saying it's a hoax and Ambassador Haley following the Trumpian line of blaming China and India and demanding "Them first!")

For the press to finesse their climate change responses abets the GOP candidate field and GOP pols generally in just letting things get worse and worse.

I am seeing some coverage of that, though only within the context of the rest of the nonsense.

I was fascinated at how first answers to the economy question were all "Biden is Bad and I am Magic and fart flags and apple pie," the climate question was so entirely blown past, and then they got specific about policy details (as well as lies about Dem policy) when it came to abortion restrictions. For where their treasure is, there their hearts are.

"Fart flags." Stealing that one.

Yeah. It was a little slow because early coverage appeared to try to cover everything. Now we'll get the details. Right now, on CNN they're talking about it.

I still think that the finessing of the climate change question should be prominent in the "everything" coverage. And as a treat for Rock'em Sock'em Reportage, it could be framed as the dissing of the young Republican who posed the question.
