The GOP regains the House
Expect the ignorance to be full-throated
The above tweet is from yesterday, when the voters spoke and said, “Sure. Let’s let the failed GOP back in for another try at the wheel.” The party’s majority is razor-thin and leaves scant room for the dreams of scorched earth some of the baser of the GOP conjure — like impeaching every Democratic office-holder there is because hell, why not.
So to answer this New York Times question: Can the GOP, having regained the House, actually run the House? No. Most likely not. The party is already enjoying an unhealthy level of infighting and backbiting, and lingering over it all is the fetid stench of Donald Trump.
Ah, me. Buckle up, y’all. It’s going to get stupider before it gets smart. At least we’ll have each other.

The worst of them see Trump moving on to run for the Presidency without legal consequences for his past wrong-doings, frauds/lies, attempts to misuse government agencies to punish those he didn't like, instigating an insurrection, and are emboldened to push beyond. Why the heck haven't there been consequences yet? The wheels of justice need major oiling! They move waaay too slowly!
