Imagine Mr. Fierro was able to save many from being shot or killed as dozens of heavily armed police officers stood by in Ulvalde while kids were being murdered. I don't think Webster has a word for the contrasting stories!
Reading your post prompted me to do something I’ve never done before. I went to the Fox News website and did a search. I searched on “Richard Fiero” and other than one hit, a piece quoting police about Fiero’s involvement, there was nothing. Let’s see Skippy Carlson spin this one.
A bad guy with a gun was stopped by good people without guns
Amazing, that.
Six people on SCOTUS, 49 people in the Senate, and ~218 people in the House, all claiming to be "pro-life," could stop this bloodbath today.
They could, but they won't because they've weighed the donations they get from these blood-garglers and that counts more to them than actual people.

The contrast is pretty stark, isn't it? I so admire this man.

A great story about heroism in the face of fire.
The wingnuts constantly yap about the "real" America. Your essay is about the real America.
My heart breaks, and breaks, and breaks.
Bless you, my friend.
Bless YOU.
