Quickest way to kill this bill is to attach an amendment--Protecting Pain-Capable Born Children--enacting a federal ban on assault weapons.

Oooh. I like your thinking.

It occurs to me that the MAGAs and Republicans in Congress, having won the 49-year battle to overturn Roe, feared that some of their single-issue voters would stay home in November instead of going to the polls. I suppose this guarantees that they will still show up. But the joke's on them; women are registering to vote in significant numbers.

And they don't appear to be registering so that they can support THIS nonsense.

As a property owner in SC I have a dog in this fight. I have sent Limpseed emails and phoned his office over many issues that concern me. My last email would not got through for some reason?!? Maybe Limpseed should listen to South Carolina State Senator Katrina Shealy, who gave an impassioned speech on a bill before her chamber banning abortion. She is a brave woman who is one of only 3 in the state senate. Thanks in part to her efforts the bill failed. As for Limpseed, he is a total disgrace and beneath contempt!!

No argument. What a waste of space Sen. Graham has turned out to be.

So Graham was for states rights before he was against them? Against naming a a Supreme Court justice in an election year before he was for it? An acolyte of John McCain before crapping all over McCain’s legacy?

Thanks for including the Guardian article, Susan. I don’t think many of us think about the worldwide consequences. Swords up!

Anything he does/says is focused on attracting the attention of his base in the moment. I think this could backfire. It should be a big push for pro-choice supporters to get out and vote. Some might be pro-choice Republicans who will now vote for Democrats.

I hope it backfires, BIG time, and sends Sen. Graham back under his rock.
