Using data from the CDC, NPR reports that five New England states are in the top seven U.S. states for the percentage of adults fully vaccinated. New Hampshire is 35th. Consequently, New Hampshire is changing the motto on it’s license plates to “Live free and die”.
I remember 100 years ago a journalist (don't remember who) writing about the lack of social services in the state was reflected in that license plate motto. What's ours? "He who transplanted continues to sustain?" It's not the catchiest of state slogans. We could do something catcher.
I like that it could be interpreted as pro-immigrant although the colonists that established the motto didn’t distinguish themselves as immigrants when it came to the natives.
