Relief that the majority of my CT friends and neighbors have chosen to stick with democracy. Despair over my friends and family in TX and the regime that they have to endure.

Same with my family in Missouri. I mean, they already have Hawley but Schmitt? Really? No, I mean: Really?

Georgia was disappointing. I'm disappointed Stacey Abrams didn't win and that H. Walker got so many votes. I mean, come on! The guy who threatened to kill his family and has had issues with violent episodes is almost tied with Rev Warnock?

I hope Walker and that awful Kari Lake lose. I'm glad that the Trump influence didn't yield the results he hoped for. I wonder how nasty things may get between Trump & DeSantis as they fight over the nomination. Somehow, I don't see Trump gracefully backing another winner if he loses.

I want Stacey Abrams to run the country.

That's one reason I'm sorry she lost the gubernatorial race: hard for her to advance to presidential nomination.

Maybe she should consider leaving Georgia.

But I get why she wouldn't. That's home.

I was disappointed with certain races in the country but sadly, not surprised. It seems that any Republican will do there, no matter how crazy. Or should I say, the crazier the better. It’s scary.

I’m thinking Marjorie Taylor Greene. I mean, come ON.

Some disappointments (not unexpected) but mostly relief. I lost much sleep Tuesday night seeing the tight returns for Jahana Hayes and John Fetterman, which ultimately I didn't need to do (whew!!). However, I do NOT fathom how any thinking person can support Hawley, Walker, MTG, deSantis, etc... wait, I may have answered my own question in its phrasing. Never mind. This non-pray-er is actually praying for those races yet in contention.

Same here, though I'm not a non-prayer (that sentence made no sense, and you're welcome). I think about people like Hawley and Walker and MTG and DeSantis and my mind just toddles into the ditch and lays there. Why?

I had no particular expectations-- I'll be talking with Chun Woo today about why political polling is an explosive trash fire.

I'm so sorry that Stacey Abrams didn't win.

Locally the only bright light was Mary Fortier's victory over an anti-vaxx, anti-science, Earth is flat moron in the 79th CGA district. So happy you got that bet right. Too bad NY turned out to be such a mess which has a big impact control of the House.

NY is disappointing, but Connecticut seems to have mostly come through. Phew.

I am heartened. People made their voices heard and democracy won the night. It was a much better outcome than I ever expected. That said, the fact that Lauren Boebert and Kari Lake’s races are still in play is incredibly disappointing.

I thought Boebert was out but yeah. As of right now, it’s close.

Republicans are already eating each other alive. That will be a whole lot more enjoyable if we can only hold the senate.

Her victory tells me that the people in her district — the majority of them — are not people I’d befriend.
