I'm not really surprised...just very disappointed. Their lack of fear about getting reelected tells me that Trump has promised to rig elections so that they don't have to worry. Threatening to be primaried is their only fear. They know a Republican will win, they just want to be sure it is them. Didn't Trump say out loud that we will never have to vote again?
I have come to think that a large part of what's going on is that USians have got convinced that, to be properly sophisticated and grown-up, they need to think of policies (and thus legislation) purely as markers on the vast multi-dimensional Chinese checkers board that is talked of only as Left and Right-- and that Dems Must Win Over Right-wingers. (And Right-wingers like that, because in this framing they're Judges, and can always Prudently Say No to Dem Policy.)
This is of course a neglect of policy as government actions that change everyone's life.
Okay, I admit it, I watched a good portion of the Senate on C-Span. It was torture when the MAGA's took the mike! Crapo and Bozeman cause me to break out in hives!! Will citizens wake up to being defrauded by their own representatives, most of whom are millionaires?!? Time to storm the Bastile!
Susan, Glad to see you use USians to refer to residents of the US. I believe there are about 35 countries included in America, the continent. No country is named America…so all residents of North, Central, and South America are Americans, right? So maybe MUSGA is the acronym,..or MUSGO??

I am watching it off and on all day and have nearly goten to where I can receive the Senators in order, from all the roll calls.
