When they came for the Jews I said nothing because I wasn’t a Jew. When they came for the those who were Gay I said nothing because I wasn’t Gay. When they came …………….

The 11th Commandment: “Thou shalt not be a bystander.”

That fat Hitler sounds like Hitler is nothing new

It’s more troubling to me that there are goofballs that are either ignorant of history , or even more worrisome , they know what he is saying is propaganda and lies , and they repeat it because they hope to convince others of the lie

The truth is like kryptonite to them

And they seem immune to irony and hypocrisy

Embarrassing them probably won’t change how they think and act , but it’s way better than keeping quiet and rolling over for the goofballs

Gee the "rule of law" folks get upset when they find out it applies to them, too 😄

Of course he didn't mean northern and eastern Europeans, he meant people from the "shithole" countries.

Question: Is Greece one of the shithole countries? Asking for a Greek-American friend.

Dear Greek-American: I'm pretty sure he meant you. Sorry. Better luck next life.

(The preceding would be better delivered in person. This is how satire dies. Personally, I don't want to live in a country without Sharon Foster.)

Though unpacking is usually a letdown when the contents are just what the label says is inside. Though in this case one hopes it would just be someone going HA HA I'M PRETENDING TO BE A. NAZI AREN'T I HILARIOUS?

But not.

So a vivid letdown. I guess.

The pot calling the kettle black.

Crawling back under a rock would be good but being locked up would be better! 🙏

Yesterday was my last day substitute teaching at Sedgwick Middle school in west Hartford. I said some things I shouldn’t have. Quoted our former President. Dropped two F bombs. My entire first period remedial reading class ratted me out (all 6 of them) in writing to the principal who I’ve known since my 16 yr old was in 3rd grade.

Two boys were debating how trump is really the only good option. Biden is too old and senile. Taxes!! I admittedly (Catholic guilt and my own soul cannot tell a lie. Or get away with it) said, “ you don’t even fucking pay taxes” and “ok you say there’s video of Biden chasing an ice cream truck, so you’d rather our country be led by a man who on video said “grab her by the Pussy?!”, but I think it started with:” look kids… I didn’t get much sleep, or enough coffee, let’s just do the assignments your teacher expects, “ then one pushed my last button and I might have said very quietly, “don’t F with me today please”.

That’s the end of my story. Earlier this year a math teacher said the N word in response to a student needing clarification on what the N word was. Like he had no idea. A young man new to the district and in remedial math. Went home and told his mom who immediately call the superintendent and principal and the news and that teacher was immediately removed from the classroom, very lengthy investigation (I know because I was a sub in her classes several times. There were always paras and extra teachers assigned because those kids are wild), and ultimately I happened to be in the classroom when the principal came to deliver the news/outcome. Resignation. Mutual parting. We do not tolerate that word or foul language under any circumstances. Then I did what I did . Zero tolerance. I owned up and guess I have decide if I’m not a good fit to teach middle school.

It is so hard to hold back when there are lies going on in front of you. I’m not sure I’d have the restraint it takes for middle school. In college, there’s more room for debate and even conflict. At least, that’s how it is on my campus.
