I think we need an almost bottomless fund to help elect enough decent representatives to both chambers of Congress so the filibuster ends and Citizens United can be eliminated by legislative action. SuperPAC.

It's so much deeper and widespread than just the SCOTUS! Think the recent election in WORSEconsin where a misogynist was running against a woman (thankfully she won) who he continues to disparage, even after he was soundly defeated! Think of the religious zealot federal judge in Texas who used the gavel to ban a drug thousands of women have used and continue to use for their ob-gyn health! The old saying is that money is the "mother's milk" of politics BUT I think it is the "devil's Kool-Aid"! It corrupts and distorts most every principle of democracy! Guns, zealot judges, spineless politicians and oh yes, collectors of Nazi memorabilia.....enough to try a call into the suicide hot line!!

I intend to start small -- at the highest court in the land -- but your point is well-taken.

Have you read Lois McMaster Bujold's science fiction novels centering around Miles Vorkosigan? In that fictional universe is a world called Jackson's Whole, which is dominated by rival cartel gangs and where you can have all the justice money can buy (if you don't get outbid).
