I do not expect either man to get back to me.
But even that isn’t as ridiculous as blowhards Joe Rogan and Elon Musk hounding Nobel-nominated Dr. Peter Hotez to debate problematic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the efficacy of vaccines. (Rogan offered the doctor $100k if he’d come on his podcast and perform; there is no record of Musk offering money because he’s a cheap jackass.)
If you spent one moment in front of CNN during the worst of the pandemic, you know that Hotez, who is based in Houston, is a scientist who spent more than a little time explaining COVID-19 and the importance of vaccinations to a frightened country. He was also part of a team that created a patent-free COVID vaccine (which snagged him that Nobel nomination). The man saved lives, is what.
If you own a computer (and I assume that you do, since you’re here), go to your favorite search engine and type “RFK Jr.” and “5G” or “RFK Jr.” and “vaccine.” Once a respected environmental lawyer, RFK Jr. took a weird turn and now his own family has distanced themselves and his wife is reduced to giving tepid interviews about how she wants to support her husband, but…
Still, this is America and if a pussy-grabbing, bad-golfing, draft-dodging narcissist with baby hands can be elected president, surely someone named Kennedy has a shot.
If it was just these two blowhards making a Twitter stink about wanting a circus — and that is all this “debate” would be — that would be dumb enough, but these two blowhards have idiot acolytes who have taken it upon themselves to stalk the doctor, go to his home and harass him.
Weirdly, the two were joined by billionaire hedge fund manager, Bill Whatzisname, who also offered money to Hotez to “debate.” Evidently, Whatzisname isn’t getting nearly the attention he wants, so here’s some attention for you, lil’ fella. Now pipe down. Mommy’s talking.
I am officially not a fan of Rogan or Musk. I gave up on Rogan’s platform, Spotify, long ago, and now, it appears the company has given up trying to get Rogan to ease up on his lies about vaccines. It’s hard to embrace bullies so let’s don’t, and please can we back away from the notion that science is a “debate?” Thank you, Dr. Hotez, and thank you, Dr. Tyler Black:
Rich white guys and their money. It would be entertaining, except it isn’t. And anyway, the vaccine “debate” on Rogan’s show already happened. Rogan lost.
I Am Not A Doctor, but it seems so obvious to me from his speech patterns that RFK Jr is suffering from some sort of neurological problem. What it is I do not know, and whether and how it can be treated I do not know. The people who are pushing him into the spotlight, even to the point of suggesting he run for the Democratic nomination for president, are evil opportunists.
I am a child of the 1960s. No one loved RFK and wanted him to be president more than I did. RFK Jr is no RFK. Dynasty, schmynasty.
We live in an upside down era! Ignorant “ louds” have followings of uneducated sheep. Rogan, Kennedy, Musk, Alex Jones, 45, et al get great pleasure in widening the divide. They mock scientists, educators, and those who diligently work for the common good. God bless all who stand up for the majority of us who would prefer a shot in the arm than lying in the ICU suffering a certain death!
