Hours after he was sworn in, Pres. Biden signed executive orders that included (but weren’t limited to) rejoining the Paris Agreement, fortifying DACA, ending the Muslim ban, and halting the construction of the wall on our southern border. Pres. Biden’s signatures some of the more offensive of the policies of the former administration.
It’s a new day. Did he miss anything? I’m interested in what you think. Feel free to comment.
So glad to hear there is a published Covid plan and a person with a clear vision for our nation and maybe action on infrastructure? Interesting to hear no thoughts on the space force. Let's hope monies are being spent by people with both feet on the ground
I am hoping that 100 million vaccinations in 100 days isn’t as ambitious as it sounds. Just his undoing some of what I consider some of the cruelest (or stupidest, re: Paris Agreement, withdrawing from the WHO) of the last administration’s policies was, to me, a great start. That he’s talking about income inequality and white supremacy? Golden.
President Biden also issued an executive order strengthening anti-discrimination protections for the LGBTQ community. Under the new executive guidance, federal agencies are to assume that laws forbidding discrimination apply to sexual orientation and gender identity, not just race, religion, sex and national origin. This was a quick turnaround of the other president's policy.
Apparently, according to reports I have seen, the vaccine distribution plan that was touted by the previous administration was non-existent. So now the Biden administration now has to play catch up. I wonder what other "vaporware" the previous administration has left Biden with.
“Vaporware” is right. Besides not wanting to upset the psycho in the Oval, most cabinet appointees were probably glad not to have to engage in the transition because of fear of embarrassment. They had nothing to show for their four years other than destruction. Chou, DeVos, Barr throwing it into reverse and resigning to start their reputation salvage operations. Good luck with that.
I am small enough to hope they never escape the stain. I think we need to remember — not to hound them but to factor into any of these complicit administrators’ future actions exactly how they spent these last few years. I wouldn’t hire any of them.
I saw this. I appreciate Forbes’ dedication. Since the former administration’s theme was this wouldn’t be business as usual, I believe we should return the favor.

And a much-needed one. Who benefits when we discriminate? What’s the point, I mean?
Remember that he also stopped authorization for the Keystone pipeline!
That is true, Debra, and Justin Trudeau got upset. My hope is that there will be negotiation down the road on the issue.
This is important that he do this. I hope all his dismantling of the last administration’s cruelty/stupidity doesn’t eat up his first 100 days. https://www.wsj.com/articles/bidens-keystone-pipeline-kill-11611184519

I really do think we will be years airing out the stench. Sadly.
Maybe so, Susan. But at least we are working to rit of it.
True that.

A Forbes editor agrees.

He mentions just the spokespeople but others have spread the warning to include pretty much any appointee.
