After the "I really don't care do U?" coat, anything normal is refreshing. Sometimes a paragraph or two is appropriate, especially if it's a designer outfit from an American designer. Michelle Obama's wardrobe was often commented on for that reason, but it wasn't her entire story.

This recent spate of 100 days of style sent me over the edge. I get it. Fashion is an industry and American fashion could use our support. But these stories -- especially the Times' ones -- are twisting themselves into a pretzel, pretending to be relevant, even while they're apologizing or existing (the stories, I mean). It's hypocritical, and I remain a non-fan of them.

I think this extends into the "breath of fresh air" that the Biden Administration has provided. We can hope as we get further beyond the first 100 days that we will see the shift from the fashion glamour to the business of getting the United States moving in the right direction.
