Convict them of seditious conspiracy for a start. Give them maximum prison sentences & fines. Don't allow any of them to run for any public office in the future. There should be a clear message to the people in our country, and to the world, that our government works in this way. People can't get away with attempts to overthrow our government without heavy consequences.

They are traitors and should be sentenced to life in person and stripped of citizenship!

I think that what they deserve is to repent.

To acknowledge their deeds and the illegalities and villainies and evil disregard for human lives that they perpetrated and attempts to perpetrate. To recognize the usurious and criminal worldviews entailed. To try to make things right, by word and by deed. To set themselves on better, more honest, more open paths.

Not what will happen, but what I think justice looks like.

Something besides jail time. I agree.

To be adjudicated as if they were an Islamic, black, transgendered, Puerto Rican man who had an abortion.

Excellent. Treat them all as if they were the most disenfranchised person imaginable, because that's precisely what this group did to themselves.

Our democracy has always be fragile but never more so than now. If serious crimes are not prosecuted against the 'architects' it is game over!?! Just today a young woman activist in Bristol is circulating a petition in response to the white supremacist flyers that have been littering many of our communities. Sadly this movement was reborn in Charlottesville where 45 and his cohorts gave mealy mouthed reactions to torch marching punks! It is no wonder 1/6 happened, it WILL be a "wonder" if 45 is allowed to remain free!

I would like to see him convicted and imprisoned. It happens in other countries, and it should happen here. There needs to be accountability or we are lost.

I would like to see all of those who participated convicted and imprisoned in a way they cannot continue to influence our country. What they did was, in my mind, treason and should be treated as such. Mr. Trump should receive the harshest penalty possible. He was our supposed leader and leaders are held to a higher standard. I do not think any of them can be rehabilitated. They do not have an open mind nor desire to think differently.
