It’s so hard to know whether it’s worth it to pay an increase. There are plenty of channels I don’t spring for and then it feels like those are the precise channels that have the shows everyone’s talking about. I also hesitated to write about this because I wouldn’t want to ignore the carnage going on. But the show is sweet and funny and inspiring and maybe we all need that right now. Anyway…if you watch it, let me know what you think.
I will be staying with Netflix through the price increase, as I am heavily invested in binge-watching Gilmore Girls, which I didn't see in its broadcast run. But the Amy Sherman-Pallidino rapid-fire dialogue gets tiring after a while, so I will intersperse with Servant of the People for some relief. Thanks for the recommendation!
I had to get it for the limited series, Dopesick, which I highly recommend. Since then, we've found a few others that have been good, including 8 seasons of Homeland (also really good). I liked Amy Schumer's Life & Beth, which is somewhat based on her life events. Summer of Soul and Nine Perfect Strangers are on my radar. Dopesick lured me in, but I'm finding some good programing on Hulu. I got one of those too good to pass up, limited time offer deals.
I feel like we should cut back (again) on programming every now and then. I only have fleeting thoughts of money management in that area so I'm not a good judge.
Dahnabbit I may have to spring for the Netflix increase , in the words of my delightful spouse suck it up and pay the increase.

You bet. I was engaged pretty early on and I'm sad only the first season's available on Netflix.
I'll check it out. We just finished off Amy Shumer's new series on Hulu last night.
Now THERE's a channel I do not get, and all my friends do...

I'm afraid if I add one more channel, I will have to get a second job. But rock on!
I hear ya! We left cable to save money. We've been inching back up ever since with these extra channels!
I know. I try not to look at the cable bill -- which is really stupid because that's not really good money management, is it?
