Happy Surrender Week!
Trump's lawyers reached a deal with Fulton County; can their client live up to it?
TFG, in an attempt to avoid jail while he awaits trial in Georgia, has agreed to:
A $200,000 bond and
A ban from talking to or seeking to intimidate defendants or witnesses (including on social media)
Other co-defendants (bless their hearts) are working out their own deals, but for TFG, it’s that last provision that intrigues me. Up to now, it appears TFG has been unable to keep himself from sharing his every toxic thought on social media, and that has already gotten him in trouble in at least one other of his four indictments. It’s part of his mojo.
Of all the serious charges Trump faces, could Trump being Trump online finally be the act that gets him jailed? If so, how delightful.
When he was kicked off Facebook and Xwitter (or whateverTF Musk wants to call it), Trump started Truth Social (with other people’s money) because he simply couldn’t stop sharing. Then, again, type “Trump can’t stop” into your favorite search engine and you get:
“Touting His Chummy Relationships With ...” (Rolling Stone)
“…praising Putin” (CNN)
“…bragging about cognitive test results” (The Tonight Show)
“…confessing” (Atlantic Monthly)
What we have here is a walking id. Now we will see if the rule of law can rein in his ugly toddler behavior.
Carnac says "no". (aging myself big time)

It’s only a matter of when , not if
