I swing back and forth on that. I’m thinking about making a few for 2023 — self-betterment is always a good thing — but I’m thinking of making them something easy, like “eat more peanut butter.”
You? And whatever you do about the turning of a calendar page, Happy 2023.
I've very seldom done a New Year's intention. I tend to figure that something kind of small and daily is about the mark for me.
I wasn't thinking of anything this year. But then Jessica Mason Pickle talked on Twitter about resuming daily journalling in 2022 and liking it.
I have never been journal, daily or otherwise, but I am going to try this one out. I get so bombarded with small and medium do-thises, and with Tetrising and reTetrising tasks to try to get spare time that I too readily lose track of things I want to write about. So I reckon to try to journal daily to keep track of them and not have them constantly getting lost and being refund and repost and....
I go through my house ever January and do a Big Purge. I don't remember why I started that, but I give the house a good cleaning at the same time. Every year, i'm amazed at how much flotsam I collect, but come Monday, that's where you'll find me, dumping.
. Don’t let the bird feeders sit empty for so long
.Make an aspic
.Count to ten before speaking to give the marginal in a group time to express themselves.
.Take deeper breaths when confronted
.spend less resources on myself
.rethink yellow (again)
.try to find the zen in weeding
.shop my fridge and pantry more
.give more spread collar shirts away
.shoulders back, tits up
I believe I shall steal this list for myself
Only for evil, Darth ;)
Ha.
Same as my yoga intention: Keep going. No matter what, find a way to keep going.
Perfect.
To love the open road again! Hi ho, Susan! Good coffee time chats!
⚔️ ⚔️ I love your candid thought experiments!!!

I don't journal daily but I have and I highly recommend it. I never called it journaling. It was just "writing stuff down."
I’m thinking about eating more chocolate
I like that one, though at my current chocolate intake, I’m not sure that’s possible.
Don’t get any peanut butter on my chocolate
I remember that commercial!
Walk more (at least 3 miles a day), paint more (watercolors), and relax more (with a good book and a cup of tea (or sometimes a glass of wine!).
