I will now be saying Jesus Christ on a ritz cracker all day. Thank you for the snarky ear worm. Maybe a saltine to change it up.

Swords ready

I am not beholden to Ritz in particular. And Jesus Christ On a Saltine has a nice ring to it.

A small victory for now but hidden in the opinion are hints on ways to file future challenges. This conservative court is not fooling us. Onward. Swords Up!

And don't forget every MAGA senator except 2 voted against IVF! Are women really paying attention to the white EVILgelicals attacking their physical well being?!?

Interesting that it seems to be a given that men have no agency for anything but agreement/compliance on this.

Facetious, right?

Though of course literally factual. Kathy Ku cited Richard Hasen, in the context of Judge Alex Kozinski-- among scads of male and female bystanders who contacted her to corroborate purely confidentially.

1. The Supremes could and should have refused to hear the case on grounds of standing. They chose otherwise.

2. Are you familiar with Jessica Mason Pieklo and Imani Gandy's podcast Boom! Lawyered? I recommend it: it's a superb podcast on reproductive law focusing non-exclusively on the Supes. https://boom-lawyered.simplecast.com/episodes/mifepristone-kind-of-maybe-wins-at-scotus

The fight has only begun! ⚔️

Late last night ( well actually this morning) I finished reading “The Auction” by Elci North ( a pseudonym ), a nightmare of a future USA where men control women’s lives, supposedly taking them to halcyon days (the 1950s). The culture is brainwashed to believe total lies. Like “The Handmaids Tale”, the changes begin slowly. We must fight each small step that can lead to these results! ⚔️

If I read it, will it piss me off?

lol! Probably as the women who get pregnant lose their jobs and must marry the biological father regardless of the nature of the pregnancy. The fifties and before are seen as idyllic for everyone, not a reality. Generations are brainwashed with this ideology.

Knowing this I had to read it and see what happened for these four women. They did put their swords up to initiate change. This could actually happen years from now if we don’t pay attention to the radical right wing. You are welcome to my copy!

SCOTUS took this case to educate litigants exactly how hat standing and grounds to use. The case they are looking for is from a spurned sex partner with a desire to inflict pain.
