That's their entire platform? Seems pretty vague and wishy-washy to me. Why would anyone want their endorsement except to get their name on the ballot twice and make themselves look more popular than they really are.

I'm more interested in why Danbury keeps electing a Republican mayor when the voter registration is 2:1 Democrat (so I read on Twitter). It's because I moved away, isn't it?

I was going to run for mayor of Hartford once as a republican. I had changed my party affiliation and presented to the local town committee. I wanted their endorsement just so I could call press conferences and commit to outrageous issues as a republican like calling for the return of short, ugly people back to their home countries. Kinda like Pat Paulson did for president back when. But an independent democrat acquaintance requested cross endorsement and received the support. I didn’t announce.

The sad fact is, if the candidate has an argument, it is going to be lost in the Trump Fog of Stupid.

Hence the reason that Trump and his cronies got routed in court.

So here is my brief but spectacular moment in Local weeklies:

Six Things to Know About Putin’s Russia:

1. Russia is betting Trump returns to White House

2. Russia is betting Trump wins in 2024

3. Russia is betting that top secret memos from Mar-A-Lago cost just a few rubles

4. Russia thinks republicans are traitors

5. Video of Russian hookers peeing on Trump in a Moscow hotel is worthless now

6. Russian special military operation goes kaboom

If I had sued all the girls in high school who had no interest in me... I would still be in court today, 45 years later.

Seriously (and maybe this is a future Substack post): How DOES a Republican run today without at least bowing in the general direction of Trump?
