A day for hope
The Obama Presidential Center is open and oh! What an opening it has been.
A host of awesome people are helping to open the Obama Presidential Center, and if you have a moment to watch even part of the live stream (as I did), you will see something that may give you an edge of hope.
Granted, the bar for presidential entertainment is pretty low these days:
But never mind.
I tuned in for Michelle Obama and then U2’s Bono and The Edge. It was glorious. And the day wasn’t just about the performers:
It was the vibe. Joy. Openness. More joy. It might just be the shot in the arm we need.
(And not for nothing, Marc Anthony sang “Vivir Mi Vida,” a song for which I only paid hundreds of dollars to hear in person, but he didn’t sing it. It’s OK. I forgave him. It was a great concert, anyway. But to watch the Obamas chair-dance to that wonderful song? Magic. Just magic.)
Pres. Obama is speaking now. Do tune in if you can.

Michelle's speech slayed!!!
What a glorious, tear-filled few hours! I watched the whole thing and there were more than a few moments that took my breath away. I so miss the Obamas and their goodness, love for each other and the country!
