"Black women will save America"

Must we always expect them to do so from the back?

I have made no secret of my admiration for Stacey Abrams, a skilled Democratic operative who is running to for governor of Georgia.

But come on, ‘Murica. If we continually rely on Black women to save us, isn’t it about time one sat on the Supreme Court? Or are we content to keep the vast majority of Black women on guard strictly as foot soldiers?
