We read every damn word, and we found it wanting.
As of yesterday’s last post, we have fully explored Project 2025 in 37 different chapters (some departments were examined by more than one author) by 22 different authors, give or take.
(A note: I’m not the only Susan who critiqued a chapter so don’t be too impressed with how often “Susan” shows up in the work.)
I want to thank the writers/researchers for the time they spent working on this. You took this seriously, and you turned in incredibly readable/publishable pieces. I didn’t know what to expect, but I figured there’s be gold in what you had to say, and I was right. I love you all.
Like you, I read every piece and am now capable of bringing party conversations to a grinding halt. (I know I possess this capability because I’ve already done so, twice.) I am not an expert on all the nuances of Project 2025, but I have read the thing and when someone says thus-and-so is on page-whatever, I can agree or refute, and know what I’m talking about.
It a waste of time to try to baffle one another with bullshit. We stick to the truth and we demand that of the people — and political documents — around us.
In short, Project 2025 is a dystopian world vision overseen by a shrunken government offering a commiserate lack of services, with the worst impact landing on vulnerable communities (read “impoverished”). It disappears our LGBTQI brothers and sisters, ignores (and worse) the needs of communities of color, and rolls our hard-earned rights into a locked vault. We know what they mean when they said “Make America Great Again” — for the privileged and the white.
The GOP presidential candidate is an abomination, as is his shillbilly running mate, but even without them, if all we had was this document, we would still know how to vote. Just listen to Kenan Thompson on the subject.
And listen to Mich. State Sen. Mallory McMorrow:
Tell. Your. Friends. And share this — in its entirety — our crowd-sourced work. Thank you, Jac, for doing the heavy lifting on compiling this into a readable document.
Thank you, Jac!
Thank you, Susan! I'm relieved that not all the reader-Susans were you! I was concerned bout such a vast designated-hitter stint. Still am, but less.
Thank you, all readers, for lighting my mind and knowledge and life!
And nowI will publicize this everywhere accessible to me.
Jason Crow, veteran Army Ranger who served multiple tours overseas FIGHTING, was awesome last night with his commentary on MAGA Kampf! He was concise and direct on the impact of P2025 on the military and veterans. Our military and veterans are often used as political pawns, especially by the faux patriots of the MAGA cult! SWORDS UP!!
