Actually, we can talk about both, but Sen. Marc Rubio, R-Florida, chose to talk about UFOs, both in Newsweek and on “60 Minutes.”
Bless his heart. Let’s shift the conversation: Democrat and Republican members of the House of Representatives have agreed to set the wheels in motion for a bipartisan, independent Jan. 6 Commission to look at the lead-up to the Jan. 6 armed insurrection when 800 or so of our neighbors wanted to overthrow our government.
From a recent NPR report:
The riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 has led to one of the largest criminal investigations in American history. The attack, which the Federal Bureau of Investigation views as an act of domestic terrorism, ended with five people dead, including a U.S. Capitol Police officer. Since that day, the government has brought charges against more than 430 individuals.
That leaves roughly 400 people who have yet to be charged, and we still don’t know with assurance precisely what role elected and appointed officials played in the mess. We must know what role our officials played. Call Kevin McCarthy to testify. Call Lauren Boebert, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and every single other Big Liar. Make them swear an oath to tell the truth, and then get them on record.
Otherwise, the Big Lie continues to fester. Excise it, and then? We move forward.
Time and space are relative
The more time I spend with my relatives the more space I need
I am all for holding every one totally accountable. My unease is that accomplished liars still lie on a ten foot stack of Bibles, no longer believing they will be struck by lightening for lying, and we may never know the full extent of the involvement of some and they remain doing their dirty work.
