As if the raised fist supporting the Jan. 6th insurrectionists wasn’t enough, as if the nasty-nice fascism doesn’t top the keg: Guess which one, single U.S. Senator voted against a bipartisan anti-Asian hate crime bill?
This guy:
In a statement, Sen. Josh Hawley, (Q-MO), said:
As a former prosecutor, my view is it’s dangerous to simply give the federal government open-ended authority to define a whole new class of federal hate crime incidents.
Please understand that for the nonsense that it is. As the editorial board at The Kansas City Star said:
Of course Josh Hawley was the only no on anti-Asian hate crime bill. That’s his brand
In fact, Hawley is just really bad at being human, so starting today, he becomes my special purpose. That means phone calls, post cards, and letters, probably daily because I have that kind of time. After the Jan. 6 insurrection, I wrote to the Missouri Bar about Hawley’s actions leading to and on the day. I don’t expect anything to come of it, other than I’m exercising my rights as a citizen and it beats kicking neighborhood dogs.
I invite you to do the same (write, not kick dogs), or find an elected official you believe to be equally disgusting. Some of us grew proficient at sending postcards. I took a bit of a break but this? Is enough to have me stock up on stamps.
If any Democrat wants to run against Hawley? Hell, if any Republican wants to primary him? I’m in.
I invite you to let Hawley know how disappointing he’s turned out to be. He can be reached here. I’m using my old Webb City address because I intend to get through. You can also write God’s Own Disappointment™ here:
And thank you, Mike, for the head’s up. Swords up!
Go, Susan! I wonder if postcards to voters would consider a postcard writing campaign to MO voters to remind them how awful he is and to vote him out next time.
