Ghislaine Maxwell is not a victim. She is not relatable, and the convicted child sex trafficker just spent nine hours over a day and a half talking to Deputy AG Todd Blanche (No. 2 in the DOJ) after being grated limited immunity out of fear she’ll say something that will get her into even more trouble.

Such immunity is called a proffer agreement, which is:

a meeting between a criminal defendant or suspect and the government that usually takes place at the local U.S. Attorney’s Office rather than in court. At the proffer, a defendant is represented by counsel and the government is represented by the federal prosecutor along with the investigating agents. The meeting is typically covered by a limited immunity agreement where the purpose is for the defendant to share with the government all verbal, written, or electronic information, such as emails, statements, documents, videos, or records that may be of use to the government. Notably, proffer opportunities do not apply to violent crimes or to individuals with a history of violent crime.

Blanche traveled to Florida to meet with Maxwell the inmate, which is highly unusual. We already know that Trump’s name is all over the Epstein files. Trump was told that back in May. And everything since has been one big cock-up.

So what the pair talked about — other than 100 or so people named in the files — is any one’s guess. Blanche announced he would share what he learned from Maxwell “at the appropriate time.” I’m just going to go ahead and call bullshit. These people are liars and some of them are perverts and liars. Should we trust them? God, no.

Just to get a sense of these perverts, heres’s what the U.S. Attorney of the Southern District of New York said about Maxwell when she was sentenced in 2022:

MAXWELL was previously found guilty on December 29, 2021, following a one-month jury trial, of conspiracy to entice minors to travel to engage in illegal sex acts, conspiracy to transport minors to participate in illegal sex acts, transporting a minor to participate in illegal sex acts, sex trafficking conspiracy, and sex trafficking of a minor.

It’s all so very gross but wait. There’s more:

MAXWELL enticed and groomed minor girls to be abused in multiple ways. For example, MAXWELL attempted to befriend certain victims by asking them about their lives, their schools, and their families, and taking them to the movies or on shopping trips. MAXWELL also acclimated victims to Epstein’s conduct simply by being present for victim interactions with Epstein, which put victims at ease by providing the assurance and comfort of an adult woman who seemingly approved of Epstein’s behavior. Additionally, Epstein offered to help some victims by paying for travel and/or educational opportunities, and MAXWELL encouraged certain victims to accept Epstein’s assistance. As a result, victims were made to feel indebted and believed that MAXWELL and Epstein were trying to help them. MAXWELL also normalized and facilitated sexual abuse for a victim by discussing sexual topics, undressing in front of the victim, being present when the victim was undressed, and encouraging the victim to massage Epstein.

Meanwhile, the president is trying to avoid the mess by going to Scotland, where they hate his insides and aren’t afraid to show it:

This is supposedly — at least in part — a private trip spent visiting Trump golf courses, though he flew there on Air Force One, so…

Is the Maxwell conversation a quid pro quo for a pardon, as the Daily Beast says? Is it a craven attempt at a cover-up? Will there be a subsequent (unimaginable, but this is TrumpLand) pardon for Maxwell the convicted pervert? Good Lord, this just gets grosser and grosser.
