I waited to hear the name of the faculty member shot dead at UNC-Chapel Hill on Monday, but one source said the name would not be released for a while.
While my university in Connecticut started classes on Monday, classes started a week ago at UNC-Chapel Hill, where the campus went into lockdown over an active shooter. All classes and events were canceled Monday.
