For years, people of a particular spiritual bent have said, in regard to issues surrounding the LGBTQ community, that they “love the sinner, but hate the sin.”
(You couldn’t tell from some Christian literature that adherents to the faith are able to make the distinction, but that’s another Substack entirely.)
The most recent twisty iteration of that strange notion comes from Rep. Glenn “GT” Thompson, (R-Penn.), who three days after he voted against protecting the marital rights of, well, people like his gay son, attended his gay son’s wedding.
