It's tacky to gloat
But if you believe in the rule of law, a fist pump is perfectly acceptable
Stormy Daniel’s attorney, Clark Brewster, was on CNN last night saying how sad it is that TFG is facing a more-than-30-count indictment. Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (who is not a fan of Trump) agreed:
Yeah, yeah, yeah. All that and a bag of chips.
What’s been sad is that Donald J. Trump has yet to have been held accountable for one single, solitary bad act. The chattering class up and down the dial last night kept saying how unprecedented is this indictment and how we’ve never been here before, and I kept helpfully yelling at them that from the moment Trump started his shenanigans, we should have been here, right here, living through a multi-count indictment because we embrace the rule of law. So calm down, all. We are right where we need to be.
So will TFG go to jail? Maybe, according to the Washington Post. At the very least, Trump could spend a lot of his waning years in court.
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. For the moment, let us sit and bask in the news that the pussy-grabbing, bad-golfer, draft-dodging racist with small hands will face arraignment on Tuesday in downtown Manhattan. What will you be wearing?
I’ll be wearing my Make Arrogant Grifters Agitated hat
It is a sad day, but in terms of the arc of this privileged white man being able to spend and buffalo and sneer and lie his way of accountability for his dishonest and cruel acts with impunity that, granted, he had to buy with time and money*-- it's a good day.
It is sad indeed that the United States elected and maintained this monster grifter as president. But this is a move toward happiness and health.
As he has discarded losers, let him be discarded.
