Lorie Smith, a self-proclaimed Christian who doesn’t like gays, was successful in the Supreme Court last week with 303C Creative LLC v. Elenis, one of the most confounding SCOTUS cases as it used a pretend gay couple who never approached Smith, who herself has never been asked to create a same-sex wedding website. In fact, the man named in court documents says he never asked Smith to create a web page for him, that he is, in fact, a designer who could create a page for himself, and that he’s been married to a woman for 15 years.
But if there are any pretend gay couples who won’t ask Smith to perform this service for them, well, Smith is all set, and for that, you can thank the egregious Alliance Defending Freedom, a Christo-fascist organization that seeks to be the anti-ACLU. With the current Christo-fascists on the Supreme Court, the alliance can notch their collective belt this case as well as Dobbs, which pushed us all into a special kind of Gilead.
Prior to the decision, Smith told Catholic News Agency:
“I want the LGBT graphic designer to be free to create consistent with her beliefs, and the Democrat speechwriter and the atheist photographer,” she said. “A win in my case is truly a win for all Americans.”
No, Lorie. Just as the man you cited did not ask for your services, you also did not pursue this case to protect your First Amendment rights. You’re a liar, Lorie, and a hater. You pursued this case to push your hatred of members of the LGBTQ community and shame on you. The Bible behind which you seek to hide won’t give you enough cover, Sis. Lorie. In fact, when you and your ilk die and you go to the pearly gates, won’t it be something when God is a lesbian, and she spreads her meaty arms for you and says, “Darlin’? Let’s talk.” I trust She will show you more love than you showed your gay and lesbian brothers and sisters. Shame. On. You.
I have so many questions. Several are legal (like, is there some aspect of fraud that applies to filing a false lawsuit? does the Supreme Court have to throw out a decision based on a false lawsuit?), but one is religious, so you can probably explain this to me. Why do these Old Testament adherents call themselves Christians? They seem to ignore most of the New Testament that's all about their supposed guy. I'm thinking along the lines of Matthew 25:40-46. If Ms. Smith truly is a believer, then she must be hearing Him saying, "Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire." But maybe she's not listening.
I coin her a Christian “pretzel”, that is one who twists faith to match the hate and judgement that defines their (her) persona. Of course the real issue is how did this ‘case’ even get on the court’s docket?!?
