I will miss you, but only for a week

Family is coming!

For the next week, this Substack will go dark while I enjoy a visit from my Aunt Julie and my cousin Juliann. They are flying in from Missouri and we will paint the town — or paint the town as much as one can when the town doesn’t even have a streetlight (though we did get a new stop sign here a while back).

Those of you who have subscribed to this Substack (and thank you!) will simply have your subscription extended by a week on the back end.

I hope you have a lovely week, and do check back Oct. 30, when we’ll rev up the outrage machine, and take it for a spin. That, or we’ll just swap stories about what we did in the previous week. Maybe we’ll have a Speaker by then! Maybe I’ll become an heiress! Anything’s possible!
