The cruelty is the point, isn’t it? I watched an example of what these gloves do on the tube last night and it ain’t pretty. It delivers a shock big enough to fell a decent sized man so imagine what it will do to a woman or (God forbid) a child?

Of course, they’re supposed to be forbidden from using them on the latter two categories, but then killing protesters isn’t supposed to happen, either. This sounds like a Penishead Miller invention or suggestion. I’d love to see who initiated the PO.

We may have seen the same video. They’re rounding people up with no respect for civil rights and they’re adding these gloves to their arsenal?

You know how people complain about a barking dog left unattended and tied to a tree and there is action, yet HUMANS are being assaulted and killed yet there is nary a whimper! Maybe we need to establish a "Human Society" to prevent cruelty to we, the people?!?

Why, we're continuing to be open about Liberty For Abusive Losers-- it got that cruel turnip Donald Trump into power, didn't it?

May each who said or says yes to these be masturbated with one that's switched on.

Susan Campbell's avatar

Now THAT is a perfect solution.

Unbelievable! Well, maybe not with this regime of untrained, unidentified, ununiformed, insensitive, immature individuals who have no idea how to do their job and think violence is the always the answer! Maybe the gloves will backfire when put on?

Susan Campbell's avatar

That would be wonderful. But that these are even out there is just horrific.

This is just cruel and outrageous. Who can stop them? Anyone? I know they have ample money to spend thanks to the chief felon's budget.

Susan Campbell's avatar

And unlimited leeway, thanks to gutless people in Congress and SCOTUS.

Rich Colbert's avatar

The military could stop him!

Someone needs to. This is over the top. I read that a judge ordered the Plymouth (MA) county sheriff there to turn over ICE records to ACLU. The courts are flooded with cases -- it takes months to get any recourse. Will they appeal?

Susan Campbell's avatar

This administration just keeps pushing so if a court says no, they simply move and try their illegal crap elsewhere.

A new weapon for the "shock troops" while the 5,000 sailors and marines on the USS Lincoln are dealing with food shortages, plumbing problems and suicide threats. Starch that one!

Only very sick minds would suggest using these and only sick individuals would wear them. These also should not be used on the elderly, disabled, pregnant women. Do clowns wearing masks who shoot people through car windows appear capable of determining any of those things about a person behind the wheel?

Susan Campbell's avatar

They do not.

Paul Ashton's avatar

I’m not defending them but those being ordered to use them are being dehumanized by those in charge as much as those they are using them against. Maybe the ultimate symptom of the MAGA movement.

Susan Campbell's avatar

That’s an excellent point. They’re turning bubbas into much-enhanced killing machines.

Shocking, I say, Shocking!

I cannot wait for the lawsuits when someone passes away due to these gloves. The cruelty of this is just unconscionable.

Susan Campbell's avatar

Someone suggested using Super Soakers against them. Dunno if that will help but it’s fun to consider.

I read that. Others are saying just carry bottles of water. All women and girls. And others are saying it has to be salt water. Does anyone know what is true?

Susan Campbell's avatar

I’m not sure any of that would work until the torturer wearing them pushes a button to turn them on. Then?

HoodyHoo's avatar

Oh, yeah, no way this can go tragically wrong.

Cowards the lot of them! Masks and now electric shock gloves! I can see the innocent woman who stands in front of her child when these mugs come after her for no reason and shock her because they think she is going after them instead of protecting her child. What happens if the shock kills - in front of a child?! The US as gestapo state for sure! God help us!

Paul Ashton's avatar

Ok. Up front, this is depraved, immoral and just plain sick. Take it with a grain of salt but a quick internet search showed that about 50 police departments in the U.S. have them already but none in Connecticut. Now, stepping away from revulsion from a moment, I thought the whole evolution of weapons for defense or offense, from throwing rocks to shooting guns, was driven by wanting to avoid the need for up close (e.g. hand to hand) combat. Despite the taser gloves giving the wearer the advantage, they seem to invite that, which is weird. What’s next, sharp metal teeth like the Jaws villain in the James Bond movies? On top of that, again according to a web search, if you’re wearing them, you can shock yourself if you touch uncovered skin. The first image that came into mind is Wiley Coyote in the Road Runner cartoons picking up the dynamite stick that didn’t blow up only to have it go off in his face. Sorry if I’m getting lost in the weeds when this is simply a vile idea but this is batshit crazy on so many levels. It’s another step toward making being devoid of any humanity the primary and maybe only characteristic sought in those chosen to do “enforcement” jobs.

Maybe we should get our local police chiefs from each town to stand up now and take a stand on this!? At least maybe the Connecticut police chief?? We know where things end up now when we don't make that Initual stand, like say the first time he rode down that elevator.

This would be as opposed to getting a gun, which my detective was in favor of, since I don’t have a functioning dominant hand. Gloves I could manage. Not really serious I guess. I have my attack Shih Tzu.

I have a question. Don’t judge. Remember I was assaulted by a giant MAGA lunatic who fractured my wrist. I just found out my prosecutor who never talked to me changed it to misdemeanor instead of felony battery so I escalated to the State Attorney and it is being re-investigated. And I have a new prosecutor. So here’s my question - can a private citizen buy a pair of these gloves?
