Levi Strauss & Co. announced Wednesday that the company will pay travel expenses for any employee who needs to travel for health care services such as abortions.
In a statement, the company said,
Given what is at stake, business leaders need to make their voices heard and act to protect the health and well-being of our employees. That means protecting reproductive rights.
Amazon has announced a similar program, as have Yelp, Apple and others. Other companies just might want to take note, because:
