Free diapers are key to our economic recovery
...so why did the governor cut state funding in half?
Diaper banks all over the country provide free diapers to families in need, which allows the older members of those families to work, continue their education, and find quality care for their children. Free diapers allow the younger members of those families to avoid health issues, and enjoy placement in quality care.
But here in Connecticut, the governor cut inhaling state funding to our diaper bank. That’s a bad idea. Here’s a link to my latest column for Hearst. A warning: It’s behind a paywall.
