Attendance is down — by a lot — in part because people fear being abducted by ICE and put on a plane to God-knows-where where only a skilled attorney can find them.

Or the people skipping the event are righteous and don’t want to spend money in an authoritarian country. I have not made a survey of it, but we are confirmed capitalists and we need to aim the system at itself.

Did the diapered felon who rapes really believe he could sustain the country’s businesses being an overt racist and instituting overtly racist and homophobic government acts? Did he think only white racists spend money? I suppose if you surround yourself with people who look, smell, and think like you, you can convince yourself that even the ugliest cause is both right and righteous, but just look at the empty seats in Orlando.

It’s a shame that the players work so hard to play to empty stadiums, but — what’s the phrase — it is what it is.

I’ve had to think about how I spend my money, and it’s been eye-opening to realize I have helped support some truly egregious companies. I’m sorry I’m so late to the party.

Keep up on news about protests in your area, and pay attention to talk about an upcoming general strike. Along with spending our money wisely, that just may be our next move, though what that would look like, I can’t say. Here’s more on that.
