And she's not alone among inmates who've been ignored, mistreated and worse.

While most of us await our COVID vaccinations, people who live in congregate housing (nursing homes, group homes, prisons and the like) may be waiting even longer.

In a prison that just settled a suit with an inmate who gave birth in a prison toilet, Jamira Myers, who’s been in York Correctional Institution since 2019, has already had COVID, and needs back surgery or a doctor says she’ll never walk again. Not just for a while. Ever.
